What is an Elder Concierge?

An Elder Concierge provides personalized assistance, guidance and consultation to older adults and their families, helping manage and coordinate tasks that may become challenging with age. Serving as an objective resource, the concierge offers support in emotionally charged situations and may act as a single point of contact to coordinate services, easing the burden on clients and families. They can also research and present service options, outlining pros, cons, and costs. The goal is to enhance quality of life, promote independence, and reduce stress for seniors and their families through flexible, compassionate support at home or in senior living communities.

Concierge OptionsBlount Seniors offers three levels of Concierge service as outlined below. Pricing is based on the option chosen and the comlexity of the service. In most cases, we can offer either an hourly rate with a maximum cap on the total costs or a fixed inclusive rate. In addition, we can offer a hybrid package that may be turnkey for some items and only consultation for others. Each package is negotiated on the front end to eliminate surprises.

What an Elder Concierge is NOT.
Some services require professional licenses, certifications, or specialized training that a concierge may not possess, such as counseling, real estate services, legal, or healthcare to name a few. In this case, we can provide researched options. The decision to use any service always rests with the client and their family.

This enables us to tailor a plan to ensure assistance aligns with daily routines, finances, and lifestyle. For some, our assessment and guidance are all that’s needed. For others who require more hands-on help, our "Turnkey Solutions" program offers à la carte services that can be integrated to achieve your goals, whether due to time constraints or personal preference.

Option I: Assessment
Our assessment evaluates seven key areas listed below. It is conducted during an in-home visit with at least one family member or friend present. The process results in a written report with recommendations based on both observations and interviews.

Option II: Resource Navigation

As resource navigation experts, we guide families through the many available services, products, and community options, simplifying decisions and connecting clients to trusted professionals—including in-home care, legal and financial advisors, GeronTechnology applications, alternate living solutions, and relocation specialists to name a few. With established relationships across the community and the United States for local services and specialized products. Option II (Resource Navigation) offers a tailored navigation plan including a list of service providers for your specific needs and interview tools so you don't overlook important questions when interviewing prospective providers. One example of how the Concierge can help with transitioning to assisted living is to provide a list of assisted living facilities with contact information and a questionnaire including pertinent questions to inquire about. |

Option III: Turnkey
We offer turnkey solutions that take the stress out of assessments and transitions—handling everything from coordinating care services to arranging transportation and managing daily tasks—so seniors and their families can focus on what matters most. Our personalized solutions are crafted to fit each client’s needs, whether it’s supporting independent living, accommodating evolving needs, transitioning to new living arrangements, or even ensuring beloved pets are part of the plan. The primary difference between option II and III is that we will do the work of interviewing service providers and provide you with a list of up to five service providers with surveys completed for each service needed. In the example of assisted living provided in Option II, we will interview up to five facilities for your specific needs and report the results back to you so you can minimize the effort and time committment. |
