Founded in 2014, AniMeals on Wheels services clients of Smoky Mountain Meals on Wheels with monthly deliveries of pet food. AniMeals was formed out of necessity as many of our seniors struggle to care for their beloved companion animals. Whether it is due to financial reasons, the inability to access pet food and/or veterinarian services, AniMeals is there to help. In addition to providing dog and cat food, we are working with a local veterinarian to ensure that all animals are up to date on their rabies vaccine. AniMeals is a volunteer-based program and relies on community support, grants and donations in order to operate.

Transportation
Many of the providers listed below offer nonemergency transportation for medical appointments, to and from nursing homes and hospitals, for holiday or special-occasion visits, and other trips. Some hospitals, eye doctors, medical, rehabilitation, or other service providers offer free transportation for their patients or clients to or from their facilities.
